"love is the same, gay or straight" I couldn't put it better myself. this really is a no brainer. if people love each other they should be able to get married regardless of their sexuality. case closed really. Any opposition to this is quite frankly absurd and bigoted. this is the 21st century, it is worrying that there is still an alarmingly big opposition to this.

Why would it be different if it were done here as opposed to in the Netherlands?

We're basically the same? Long maritime history, multicultural societies?

Okay, Belgium 2003, Brazil 2004, Spain 2005, Canada 2005, South Africa 2006, Sweden 2009. None of these countries have legalized anything but same sex marriage.

What evidence do you have that England will not do the same as these countries?

I am mot talking about Holland or any other country, I am talking about England and marriage. If you let these people marry it will open up a pandoras box with all sorts wanting to be accepted within the law of the land. I would have thought, as I has said before, that Nick Clegg and David Cameron want to get there priorities right before embarking down this slippery road. England has a lot more things that want to be sorted out first, like the EU and the economy. Is he pandering to young people

Marriage is between man and woman, Adam did not find another man he found Eve who happened to be a woman and their evolved mankind. When has a man marrying a man or a woman marrying a women been able to bring a child into the world?. If you want to live together then do so, but do not try to take away marriage as though it was something you and Nick Clegg trod on in the road. Their are RIGHTS and RIGHTS.

their is enough in law for gay's to live and love as they want to, their are other things in this country that need to be prioritised like the debt we have, the economy that is flat bottomed, homeless, NHS, to name just a few. You people get your priorities right and then perhaps this country would be a better place to live in.

Why don't they just come forward now? you're reason that people will come forward and want instinctual marriage next is stupid, there is no evidence for that the occur.

Why the hell would we not?

In fact, redefining marriage to the union of 2 people who love each other is just an improvement. Words are not permanent, and change with time.

I suggest that you look up the meaning of marriage in the dictionary.Do you really want to redefine it?
