I am bipolar and trust me, I know how it feels, I've gone through a lot of things and most people know I'm bipolar, but they don't know the half of my experience of bipolar, or what I have to deal with everyday. But I want to be treated just like everyone else. I've never wanted to be pitied. So if anyone pities me, they DIE.

  • I was diagnosed at the age of 8, or at least the doctor told my mom I would be bipolar. Since then (I am 23 now) I have been hospitalized 6 times and have attempted suicide once. The first time I went to the loony toon house I was there for 2 months, 2nd time I was there for about a month. Keep in mind this is when I was 8. Having this disorder is a fucking nightmare. It's like being in a bad dream that you can't wake up from. Only solution is meds and they fry your brain. Can't win.

  • don't be so pessimistic about it. You CAN find the right meds. It just takes a long time. And yes, the things you went through were hard. And yes, you were young. But don't lose hope. Just keep trying to find something that helps. Once you do things may not get better right away. But they will.

  • aw made me cry but that could b cuz im 'down' right now

just got diagnosed nt even a wk ago meds r jus kicking in n yeah everything is still lil shaky had an earthquake 2day n at first i thought it was the meds

  • if you need to talk about it or anything, I was diagnosed a long time ago and I probably know some things that might help. But if you want to talk you can message me.

  • Great video,it sums everything up how we are affected by bipolar.

  • not quite everything, but yeah

  • I have not been to the doctors to get checked, but i know for sure that i have a bi polar disorder. Plus im suffering with depression. Im always upset about something. I'll get happy and then something little will turn my whole day down. I feel like everyone hates me and doesnt wanna be around me or anything. I feel like my boyfriend hates me sometimes because i cant control it.. And he knows that, he just gets upset that im depressed and everything. The only reason why im still alive is him

  • This is a great clip and helps give a small insight into what we experience. My husband wants to understand but can't so it's great to be able to show him things like this. Thank you.

  • The Citizens Commission on Human Rights (CCHR) is a mental health watchdog, responsible for helping to enact more than 150 laws protecting us from abusive or coercive practices.

CCHR has fought to restore human rights to mental health, including, full informed consent regarding the medical legitimacy of psychiatric diagnosis, risks of psychiatric treatments,

and the RIGHT TO REFUSE TREATMENT. I was a victim of psychiatry 4 many years and agree 100% with cchr.org Know your rights

  • Thank you for making this video. I am bipolar type II and I understand well what you are saying about. It's a really nightmare :( and you are right, if someone never felt this illness, he/she would not understand all the pain, agony and the suffering. You are right "they just don't know the half of this illness" it's more than just a nightmare for me :(.

  • sounds more like schizo effective disorder ..

  • i dont remember doing some things. like i know im depressed but then im happy when someone tells me that happened i wont remember :/ . i also have done things i thought was right when it was wrong and it gets me so upset over it its like i dont want to be alive :/ i cant help what happens :// it just happens

  • There are new techniques! Hoorah! After considerable research we can now add this therapy.

Keep taking your meds. If they aren't working well, keep nudging them around with your Psychiatrist. Don't do it on your own.

Now, in addition to cognitive-behavioral therapy, yoga, music therapy, art therapy, aroma therapy there is THIS :

    EMDR

    Eye movement desensitization reprossessing.

It causes your brain to switch from left to right and back again. It untangles your thoughts. Try!
