Have a Cajun Shrimp Boil with Beryl Stokes and Cajun Cooking TV.

Boiled Shrimp are a favorite around our house all year round. People all over in Georgia and the Carolinas call a Cajun Shrimp Boil a Low Country Boil. Here in Louisiana we just call it boiling shrimp, or having a shrimp boil.

Anyway, here's our boiled shrimp recipe from the Cajun recipes at Cajun Cooking TV.

  • I really love you guys.....I live in Vancouver B.C. so we have a lot of Dungeness Crab as well as shrimp. Could one do this with crab? Thanks so much for the inspiration.

  • @ratmq Yes, you would do it just the same just boil the crabs longer. We have a video and crab recipe on our web site Cajun Cooking TV. Thanks for watching!

  • she is so great

  • @ESJAY5150 Thank you all for your warm welcome and very nice comments! We are very excited to be putting up the videos and recipes on our web site again. Thanks for watching, Mike and Beryl

  • Thanks for posting these Ms. Beryl!

  • This looks amazing. Zatarain's is good, but I must say...Old Bay for the win.

  • Oh my gosh! I can only imagine how amazing that tastes! I love to watch Beryl! Especially when she starts to giggle! And no, not all of us were blessed to be from LA! T

  • What?? no eggs?

  • Love your videos...would love to see more as I have watched all of them and tried many! Thanks

  • I had my first crab/shrimp cajun boil this weekend, and I've never tasted anything better. I really loved your video, and can't wait to make my own!

  • @runningwithabita your obviously dont know what your talking about those arent large shrimp they are bigger so the need about eight to ten minutes cooking time especially in a boil where the heat is never reaching a true boild with all the stuff she added

  • luv u beryl!! welcome back.

  • 5 minutes boiling? And then 2 minutes soaking in hot water (that continues to cook the shrimp!), no wonder you guys need cooking oil and vinegar to peel those things, they are overcooked! Cook them right (2-3 minutes boiling, put ice to stop the cooking process, and let them soak about 5 minutes), no oil or vinegar is needed because they will peel perfectly.
