Oh nooooo! So far I've not found I'm allergic to anything. I'm lucky I guess. Hope you find another natural heat protectant, or if you're not straightening so often, I don't think a silicone based serum is too bad!

You can try overnight/all day banding to semi-straighten your hair before blowdrying maybe?

Wow, I would have never thought grapeseed oil could cause an allergic reaction! I respond the same way to tea tree oil, but only in a concentrated amount. I put some tea tree oil on ONE zit and it broke me out real bad. Not thinking, I bought some "natural" deodorant with tea tree oil and I broke out something fierce on my underarms. Never again, lesson learned here too. Loving the earrings!

It's soo good I watch this video! I put grape seed oil all through my hair for a flat iron. I've had this straight hair for about 10 days. Behind my ears are peeling, burning, and itching. There is nothing else that I used (at all!) I kept thinking "I only used the grapeseed oil in my hair). Now it makes sense. I've been putting cortizone behind my ears for relief. Thanx for this.
