@Devilsnevercry61 well thats why they did it, otherwise they would have been tied to the existing trek canon, re-doing existing storylines.
I think we can hold the original TOS/TNG/DS9/VOY and enjoy them, but also enjoy the new direction trek is going.
Looking forward to seeing Bennedict Cummberbatch in the new film!

@klingonqpla Yeah, I was watching a montage of Picard quotes about morality, justice and the quest to better ourselves and was sitting there thinking to myself "what these scenes need are a car chase and some college sex humour to really hit home the message". I dont know what youre talking about, Abrams is a genius, sure he admitted to never actually watching Star Trek, its not like Nimoy, Shatner or Frakes had any knowledge or interest when they were directing
