If you are a racing fan, and have not experienced Burnout Paradise on the PS3, this might be a prime time to take the plunge. Burnout Paradise The Ultimate Box is everything Burnout Paradise offered, plus the Cagney content updates and the Bikes content updates. There is also an offline Party mode in which players can run the races using one controller and then rerun it for everyone in the party by handing off the controller.

Add in a few small changes to the base gameplay (such as the ability to restart a race - which is very nice) and a PS3 online social network (which was not tested with the disk received because of the version of the disk and the machine it was intended for not the retail unit but the test unit, which did not have online servers available), and you have Burnout Paradise with a slightly more robust overall package.

For those that have not played the game or read previous reviews Burnout Paradise is a free-wheeling racing game presented in a sandbox world that allows players to choose their own course through the game, do what they want when they want to do, in a vibrant city with a convoluted mess of roads (like any city) and the option to just wheel around or spin tires at a stop light and pick up events.

Is this the best Burnout to date? Arguably yes. Is it the best car racer currently available for the PS3? Yes. This is what EAs Need for Speed wants to be but often falls short of achieving. The controls are silky smooth, the framerate is steady, the physics are wonderfully realized and the crashes are spectacular.
