from site:
"After nearly 6 years, my documentary "Return to Transylvania" is now complete. It was well-received at the Frightenstein Fest, and after some additional minor tweaking it is now ready for the internet.

It was shot early in my second year at Sheridan's Media Arts course and a seven-minute version was edited at that time. My crew consisted of Eric Yu and Joe Raasch, and we also worked together on the original edit. The resulting film had numerous problems (many were beyond our control) including very poor audio quality and a few pacing problems. It also did not feature the interview segments with Joe Torbay, as these were shot after the original documentary was already edited. The new 2005 version retains the feel and attitude of the original, but is much improved technically and aesthetically."

  • I met Billy Van a in 2000 on Halloween day. His accountant worked in the same building I did. I reckonized him and politely thanked him for all the entertainment he had given me. Then I asked how is Brucey and his reply in character of the Count...ah yes Brucey...I said thankyou twice and laughed he smiled that was a great moment.

  • The shows back then didn't dumb things down like they do for kids now. A lot of this stuff was a bit over our heads but it didn't stop us from trying to figure it out. Billy Van, he never got the credit he deserved. He was stuck on the Party Game for years.

  • Wow! this video actually brought tears to my eyes! Billy Van RULES! Thanks for all the awesome memories!

  • PLZ release THE WHOLE 131 eps. series on a DVD boxset!!

  • @Pinballpete007

this show was way better and more educational than any show on tv for kids now a days. u just can't find stuff like this around any more. i was born in 79 and they showed this in canada all thru the 80s and up till the 90s at some point when tv stations started all changing.

  • this was a very educational show, it had grammar slammer hammer, the professor, poetry from vincent, the oracle talked about astrology, and the vet would come and see igor and explain stuff about animals, the zoo guy would kind of do the same but more about wild animals and not pets.

there was the wolfman who had psychedelic fun music, the librarian was the boring old fart that would always piss you off and make you laugh lol. grizelda was just whacky, igor was funny and the count told history.

  • I used to love watching this growning in the 70s. Where has all the good kids shows gone? I'll tell you. Billy Van isn't here anymore to do them.

Many thanks for posting this and bringing back some fond memories of growing up in the 70s
