Kili the Senegal Parrot plays dead when I pretend to shoot her with my fingers. Also includes, shake, wave, nod, turn around, fetch, and the bat. You can try to teach these parrot tricks to your bird too.
Play dead is where I point fake finger gun at bird and it drops on back and lays there until I release. Shake is actually shake head no trick. Nod is to raise head up and down for yes. Wave is to pick up foot and wave back. Turn around is to spin 360 degrees on the perch or floor. Fetch is the retrieve command to bring any small object back to me or where I designate. The bat trick is where the parrot hangs upside down from my hand like a bat.
Since everyone likes the play dead trick so much, I recorded a newer/better video of Kili playing dead. Now she does it better than ever and I highly recommend you see it as well:
Since everyone is asking about how I trained the bird to perform these tricks. Here are a few videos that should help you get started. If the budgie can do it, any other parrot can probably do it better. We used the same methods (but possibly more refined) on the budgie as I used on the Senegal to teach her these 9 months ago.

awesome video! It's funny because he looks like my senegal, but does all the same tricks as my conure. I see you are using sunflower seeds for his treats, just thought i'd mention that they shut down the their liver because they are just so fatty for them it's hard for their body to break down and takes about 5 years off their life for a small, occasional treat and even more if you are giving them to him regularly. This is straight from my avian vet.
Hey, I have a Cockatiel. He seems really smart. Over the past year he's come used to our presence and when he's alone he comes from the kitchen to the lounge just to be around us. Can I teach a Cockatiel these kind of tricks. I already thought him to ask for petting, by lowering his head.
Sure. Go check out my Budgie videos like "Duke - Budgie Bird Tricks Medley"
If a budgie can learn those tricks than certainly a cockatiel can. The difference I noted between Senegal Parrot learning and Budgie learning is that a budgie takes more repetitions but can do more repetitions in a shorter span of time. Senegal Parrots take longer to learn but less repetitions.
Excuse me i have one more question. How did you guys get duke to wave? Because i have a parakeet that knows all the basic tricks i know how to teach him. But how did you go about teaching him to wave? I couldnt find this on the site.
