  • Bono (in 1985) sings songs from an album released 13 years earlier (Lou Reed's Transformer in 1972). The equivalent now is him singing B*Witched

  • @MrMachodan True, but I think there's nothing wrong with covering, if you do it right. Everybody does it, in fact I don't know any singer or band that hasn't done covers. Even a formidable band like R.E.M. did covers. Actually I think it's quite logical, too: there's so much good stuff from the 80s and 90s, why invent the wheel again? Find a good song, by all means cover it, just as long as you do it right and respect the song and the original artist. Thanks for your comments! :-))
