Dutch 3D Pilot with MapInfo Discover 3D

MapInfo Discover 3D turns your two-dimensional Geographical Information System (GIS) into a full 3D system. MapInfo Discover 3D is fully integrated with the MapInfo Discover desktop GIS, which is designed especially to meet the needs of geologists, environmental scientists, cartographers, exploration managers, and petroleum engineers. The MapInfo Discover 3D system allows you to combine, visualise, interrogate, and model your data in a dynamic 3D environment.
With MapInfo Discover 3D, Pitney Bowes Business Insight takes part of the Dutch 3D Pilot session that started recently as an collective initiative of Geonovum, Kadaster, the Netherlands Geodetic Commission and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Environment. Goal of this pilot is to define a Dutch national 3D standard by collaborating on 3D applications in a test area with several different stakeholders. By taking part at the Dutch 3D Pilot, Pitney Bowes Business Insight will show the potentials of MapInfo Discover 3D with regards to 3D information. During the final congress of June 16 at the Cruise Terminal in Rotterdam, Pitney Bowes Business Insight will be present to present their results of the 3D Pilot.
