Irreversible is one of my favorite films and you captured what the message is perfectly. Great video. It's so sad how quickly our lives can change and sometimes for the worse. Sometimes there is no happy ending, the bad guys don't always get captured, people we love are hurt or killed, vengance can make a bad situation worse. Irreversible shows the darker side of life that's hard to see but impossible to miss.

@azt3c Actually a problem can be created by many different parts or only one, depending on each individual situation. Environmental problems could be said to have be caused by multiple factors, while, for a example, an inaccuracy in a legal document could be caused by the carelessness or simple spelling mistake of one individual. I'm not sure if you are trying to suggest that rape victims are in some way responsible for their attack, but in any case I'm inclined to disagree.

@PrincessPeach777 I completely agree with you that in real life the best thing to do would be to call the police, but its important to reiterate that rape can NOT be the victim's fault, in either female or male rape. Blame always lies with the rapist.

I took this girl to see Irreversible on a first date and about 5 min into the rape scene she just got up and left, she thought i would follow but i stayed till the movie finished, i called her the next day to apologise and suggested we meet up again, she finally said yes, so after a drink in a bar i took her back to my place and i put a DVD on, Ichi The Killer and for some strange reason she was not pleased with that film?...Anyway she called a taxi and i never heard from her since...Bitch...

Irreversible is one of the most life-affirming films I've ever run across.

This may sound counter-intuitive but those of you that sat thru the whole thing, think about the film and think about my saying it's life-affirming and perhaps you'll understand why I state that.

I just didn´t understand the thing of "fault", you know? That sounds bad, but we just missunderstood each other. I don't comment to see people react. It's my opinion. If it was just us three, and seeing how close she was to Le Tenia beating up that prostitute, and in that tiny confined space, you're goddamn right I wouldn't just stand there. i'd distance myself and call the police. I would NEVER interfere with something like that, directly, or I'd be the victim, as proven in the video.

Lastly, I am very much a woman. Nice try.

How can you say, it´s also the own fault of a woman to be shocked by a thing, scared about a knife after, raped then and beated almost to death? How would you react in this situation with the prostitute? Of course you wouldn´t be shocked and scared... What you do? Walk away and don´t give a shit? Talk about that with a woman, cause (about your comment), it´s impossible, that you are a woman.
