Crockett might have been a foreign invader working for Jackson, as you suggest, but once Santa Ana became dictator and abrogated the 1824 Constitution, the struggle turned into a revolution waged by both Anglos and Hispanics (mostly Mexican citizens). Due to the generalissimo's tyranny, his failed campaign gave birth to a nation. Later, with the will of the people, the Republic of Texas was swept up in Manifest Destinty, while Mexico languished in anarchy half a century longer.

Jimmy Stewart is *such* a man that he was willing to read a poem that brought him to tears on the Johnny Carson show about his recently passed away dog. *That's* what a real man is. OMG!! What total rubbish!! I know if people have read all about the attack on the Alamo mission. A small history lesson. The battle started at about 6 am in the morning, by the time the sun add risen - it was all over. It did not start mid afternoon like Mr. Wayne would have you beleave.
