El famoso Romance Anónimo es una de las piezas más arraigadas en el repertorio de la guitarra.

El Arreglo es de Peo Kindgren.

Romance Anónimo (Anonymous Romance) is a Spanish piece for guitar, also known as Estudio en Mi de Rubira (Study in E by Rubira), Spanish Romance, Romance de España, Romance of the Guitar, Romanza and Romance d'Amour among other names.

Its authorship is currently in question, and it has variously been attributed to Antonio Rubira, David del Castillo, Francisco Tárrega, Fernando Sor, Daniel Fortea, Miguel Llobet, Vicente Gómez, and Narciso Yepes. The Anonimo (Anonymous) part of its name has been incorporated over the years due to this uncertainty. The question of authorship has probably been propagated by three main reasons: the lack of claim by its true author, the desire to avoid paying copyright fees, and the desire of publishing companies to claim the lucrative copyright of this world-famous song.[1]

The style of the piece is that of the Parlour music of the late XIX century in Spain, having a closed three-part form: the first in the minor key and the second being in the major key, with the third being a restatement of the first.

  • Very beautiful sound and canto.Try to play version by Burkov-Gomez Romance in YouTube.

  • In my personal opinion, this is one of the most beautiful pieces of Spanish music (as well as Asturias).

Really well done, you've done it justice in my eyes. =)

  • This is indeed one of the best performances available. It has duende. The worst performance was by Narciso Yepes (in the film Les Enfants de Teruel) , who played as if he was a metronome.

  • woot thank so much, my mother sent me a music box, and all it said was romance on the bottom, and i could not recognize the tune, so i looked in wikipedia, and then looked here. of course you play it more beautifully but now i know what song it is. The music box does it no justice, its really pretty on guitar.

  • I can't get enough of listening to this video' music.... And I'm at the office... Damn...
