I was sat near this guy, it was such a strange experience... 40,000 people or so in the stadium and it was silent because everybody was awe struck by the sound of that machine.

That sound bouncing around a stadium IMMENSE! This sounds 1million times better then U2 at wembley!

weird, at the start of a GP in the late 80s (the last F1 GP I was present) I couldn´t tell if anyone else was silent, as I couldn´t even hear my brother shouting beneath me

the noise at 0:18 was beautiful

thats what 12000 rpm sounds like, 30 seconds redlining that engine and the tires will be gone!
