@wingnut4427 I read somewhere that you can get as much as 2 oz gold per ton of boards. That is better than most gold ores found in nature. So that would be about $2.00 per pound of boards, or $10,000 per 5000 pounds. Of course, your mileage may vary...

There is a great informational program that a friend of ours put together that easily teaches you where to find Gold, Silver and Platinum from scrap electronics, appliances and everyday items. scrap4treasure dotcom to read more about it.

@God4saken28 When you say linux, you mean a OS platform made by Canonical used by buisnesses including Google. When you talk about Ubuntu, your talking about an OS downloadable for free at ubuntu.com that uses the Linux platform and is considered to be the home version of linux. I use it, I'm 14, happy with it, there is a very easy transition form windows, alsong as you have common sense, open source, and VIRUS FREE!

3 minutes to tell us to take apart the computer, and ship all the pieces to a refiner. Or instead, you could've just said all that, and told us to go to your website for more info in less than 1 minute.

this is the best place for hack ridden confusers...discentigrated into scrap.
no more confuser problems... what better way to use a computer? I made a sluicebox out of my 1st computer shroud, someday will post it.
great! keep up the great work, even if it makes BillGates sob.

There is a bit of copper content along with a pc board in that power supply, worth extracting from the case.

I can sell that particular computer for at least $50 and w/o adding anything to it, just using spare parts that I accumulate. Does recycling get you at least that for one computer? Motherboard fried? I can fix that! Most computers are thrown out because they think the motherboard is totally fried.

That is a good for a small business. But when you are handling large amounts of computer scrap it is not cost effective for a large compny.
