@kjrm6796 Amen. i'm with you on that, i so wish i had this car at 17 or 18. But hey i'm 19 and i just got my 89 LX 5.0 about a month ago

@svo358 How was it a stock long block if it's a 306? If it was anything like it was in this video it didn't run 11.60. Maybe 13.60
-
was this stock ?? like all the way stock
-
it needs way more power

You saw more GT's back then, a Selene here and there. A Chevy man myself, but more times then not, I saw LX's waste GT's off the line. Boss had a supercharger in his back then, the freaking thing could MOVE.

@sn8kbite0304 Yup, and some of them worked like crap.
I remember that little red light hahaha.
This brings back memories.
You misunderstood my post, bro. The car ran a best of 11.60's with a twisted wedge headed 306. In the video it had a completely stock 302 long block with 1.72 rockers, SSC shorty headers, 65mm t/body and full 2.5" dynomax exhaust and ran a best of 12.99 @ 105 with slicks. Hopefully this makes sense to you...

Sure did, as well as pagers/beepers and cell phones the size of your forearm......luckily video camera's were available to the public back then, even if they were the size of a briefcase.......

My friend Brett sold it to my cousin who dozed off on the interstate and backed it into a gaurdrail/overpass. The best the car ran on slicks was 11.60 @ almost 115mph with a n/a EFI 306. Car had stock long block and intake with all the bolt-ons in the video. The good old days....
