@mujaku verily i say unto you, those who hold on to this life will surely lose it. there is a quote from the quran that is very interesting. it basically says that eventually the devil and his slaves here on earth will attempt to become like god, even trying to create a fly from scratch, yet they will not be successful. i just find it interesting that two months ago the isreali scientists were trying to construct a fly from the bottom up. looks like god seems to know what we are up to.

@stingyringpiece The idea of a creator god didn't make it too far in ancient India (Bharata) as it did elsewhere. The Indians thought the logic for a creator god a bit crazy when we take the fact of suffering into consideration. It is not power they want but amrita or immortality.

The straight-line ridge on Iapetus is perfectly explainable given the speed of rotation of the moon and the enormous tidal forces imposed on the surface along its equatorial plane. In regard to its "Death Star" like appearance, the photo as shown is photo enhanced. While there is a large crater in that position, it is no more distinct than the other craters on the moon. Look at the unenhanced Cassini images and you'll see that.
