Final Fantasy IX - Mage Only Challenge - Part 1 - Plant Brain

(PLEASE READ THIS PEOPLE!)

Okay! My 1st vid ever! *Fangirl Squeal* Obviously, this is a Mage Only Challenge so I can only use Vivi, Garnet, Eiko, and Quina in all my fights.

In this video, I can only use Vivi. All I had to do is keep spamming Fire until the Plant Brain is dead. As you can see, I tried using Thunder once to make the video a little more interesting but the spell was too weak so I just switched back to Fire until he was dead.

This fight was pretty easy for the most part. I just had to over-level Vivi a whole lot. I'm gonna do the same thing with Garnet so in my next boss fight, she'll have enough MP to use Shiva. (Who costs 92 MP to Summon.) I'll have to get Garnet to like Level 20 to do that!

How come you didn't Focus?

I normally don't use Focus. I kinda consider it a waste of a turn for a boss this early in the game. I'd rather attack the boss and win as quickly as possible!

Yeah, I would consider the Thunder spell doing only "Weak" damage. I tried using Thunder in some of my pre-recording tests and it did such a poor amount of damage that I had to have Vivi use an Ether. I can't use up any Ethers becuz Garnet's gonna need ALL of them to keep Summoning Shiva!

Yeah, the quality is so good because I have to put the video capture card within the PlayStation itself. I didn't have to use the TV at all! I had to record the video on my brother's Mac and use the recording screen to actually SEE the game.

*looks at Thunder doing 110 damage*....*looks then at Fire doing 160 damage* I can obviously see why you would rather use Fire, but still, that isn't exactly what i'd refer to as "a spell too weak" 8D lol
