@lmarcus461 We can't make enough antimatter to do anything efficiently with it yet. Any antimatter engine produced now would cost billions, and that includes even a car engine. The Japanese centrifuge isn't going to produce 1G for the human crew. It will be for science experiments.

@lmarcus461 I said several kms across because smaller ones can cause disorientation when spinning at high enough speeds to create 1G.
Ares (Constellaton) was unsustainable. VSE was good in theory. In practice it wasn't. Ares I-X alone cost 500 million for the rocket., yet they spent 5 billion on CxP before it even flew without any real way to explain how. Ares V was expected to cost 49 billion dollars. Total amount spent thus far is 9 billion on the Ares program. We're glad it was canceled.

@lmarcus461 There's never been a plan for a centrifuge because to make one that was functional and didn't cause orientation problems, it'd need to be several kms across. NASA can't do a moon base unless congress backs it, and congress won't back it without the public writing their congressman telling them to fund NASA. That's all there is to it. No bucks, no Buck Rogers. If it was as easy as you make it sound, everyone would have centrifuges and space stations...and reusable spacecraft.
its nice but, the iss project was a NASA diversion to avoid "going back to the moon" , its a great idea, dont get me wrong however it diverts our thinking to beyond the earth, which is what NASA wanted in 2000 when the Moon hoax was born. very sad indeed.

@Jakesnake321z The ISS had nothing to do with going back to the moon or not. There's no hoax to be had. Fox just had nothing better to do. Japan has photographed our evidence, and we send laser ranging to the moon pretty often, reflected back by a reflector that only humans could have assembled on the moon in the days of Apollo.
The ISS was a collaboration with 15 other countries to develop science, tech, and experience in LEO. While spacevidcast would love a moon trip, ISS is still amazing.
