only happens when warmed up, nothing abnormal in log...just starts missing around ~3000rpm. Reflashed back to stock tune, still no change, reflashed with a tune that has the rev-limiter disabled, still no change etc.. Only thing I can think of is the ECM is dropping CKP signal at higher revs for some reason.

Ben, if this is on your 05 LLy then most likely the reluctor wheel for the crank sensor is walking loose causing a loose of signal. Pull the crank sensor out and try to move the reluctor with you finger.

nope...CKP sensor was loose, and the other problem was that I have a medium duty (ie, kodiak) front cover on this engine....the CKP sensors for the pickups and the kodiaks are clocked differently, so the sensor was misaligned. I had to oval out the hole in the mounting tab, and use a washer so I could re-clock and tighten the CKP sensor. Basically....a problem that no one has ever seen before (and probably a problem that no one will ever see again)
