I picture John listening to this song for the first time, Staying quiet the whole time not knowing how to react at first. He looks up at Yoko, she nods. He looks down and shakes his head and then yells. He throws things around, cursing Paul. Yoko sits there and lets it happen, she gets up quietly, grabs a pen and paper, brings it to John and holds it out.
"You know how to fix it"

@pjs69828 Which Paul albums do you say are the 6 good ones? Trying to figure out where to start... the only post Beatles solo albums I have are Lennons first two.

Yoko still sux....and was never worth a shit...her art sucked.

Paul knew John shot 'The Beatles' in the head with Yoko's 'gun'. If you were alive in 1971 you knew it too. Measure it out George had 3 good albums after the Beatles; John had 2; and Paul had 6 in the excellent category; Yoko had Zero. (Ringo had 1).

@mountainman482 geese they both are great important parts of the beatles. This song (I think) is about all the other people trying to reach for a piece of cake. (Yoko, that guy in India, their owners who screwed them over pay wise.)
@bassmanjoe Say Say Say sux compared to this song.....This is Rock N Roll here.

John Lennon definitely took some of the lines of this to be directed at him like "Too many people preaching practices" "You took your lucky break and broke it in two". John repsonded with the far nastier "How Do You Sleep" which was a direct attack on McCartney.
