Here's something a little different. A sneak peak preview of a promotional DVD that is being used to raise funds for 3 boxers upcoming trip to two national tournaments in February. The DVD has 1 1/2 hrs of interviews, sparring, training and some recent bouts. One boxer will be traveling to the National Silver Gloves in Independence, Missouri and the two others to the Under-19 Tournament in Cincinnati, Ohio. The winners of the National Silver Gloves become the #1 ranked boxer in the US in their division. It is the only advancing tournament for 10-15 year old other than the Junior Olympics (15/16 year olds). The winners of the Under-19 will represent the US at the Youth World Boxing Championships Baku, Azerbaijan from April 12 25, 2010. That is the only qualifying tournament for the 2010 Youth Olympic Games that will take place in Singapore from August 14 to 26, 2010.

That's y I asked u if ur reading right. I never said he had 200 bouts (re-read ur message). He is 13 now but 12 when u emailed me. I know many boxers that have more than 100 bouts. Many got there before turning 18 yr old some before they were 15 yr old. One before he was probably 14 yrs old. All in DC. Amateur World Champions usually have hundreds of bouts. Rigo says he has 400. De La Hoya claimed a record of over 200 wins. But if you have that many amateur bouts and are older, you should be pro

i am acutally familiar with amateur boxing with a record of 45-0-1 and thats why long time ago i asked you how many fights zimmie had and u said it should be around 200 now and he is only 13 which is why i was shocked cause im 15 with only 46 fights even though i have won golden gloves twice and the and a couple more and i have only had 46 fights and if i had 200 i would probs be ranked number one in the word.

Not sure if you are familiar with amateur boxing, but when you say someone is ranked #1 it is assumed that you mean in their division. lol. Like all JOs winners, all Silver, all USA and Golden Gloves. All advancing tournaments. Do you know how to read? It said 12/30 80lbs in the SAME sentence as the #1 ranking. Not sure it can be clearer, buddy.

basically u cant be ranked number one of all amature boxers at the age of 13 cause then that means he can beat up men so if it had said zimmie was the best in u.s in his division and age then i would understand.

Not sure of this is a general question or ur asking about a specific boxer. More details please. If general, there is NO boxing tournament in the US that has a 13 year old boxing against a 15 year old. There are 12/13 and 14/15 in silvers and 15/16 in JOs. If a boxer is more than 24 months older than another they are prohibited from boxing unless someone cheats and lies about age. You have to go by age/weight for rankings because that's how boxers are matched to box each other.

how can a 13 year old be the best in the u.s when a 15 year old boxer beat him or is he ranked number one in his division and age.
