because KIBO is almost as big as Destiny Destiny's old sling have to be brought out of storage and NASA and JAXA had to build custom made containers to ship it from the Japanese Empire and to the pad even Discovery had to be modified to fit KIBO in the back. as for the racks they had to be shipped of HTVs and on all the logistic flights.

The success of this lab is outstanding,Japan and U.S.A working together in outer Space is an example of possitive work and thinking for the world. Gotta love it!
