I have a Frigidaire side-by-side frig model FRS26ZSHB4 that is about 10 years old. The ice maker is not receiving water. The arm is down. The water from the door is working. I have replaced the 1st water valve(part 218859701) that sends water to the filter. The water line from the 2nd water valve(part 218832401), which sends the filtered water to the ice maker, is clear. If I pour water into the ice maker, the ice maker works and pushes ice into the bin. Could it be a bad 2nd valve? Ice maker?

I made the jumper and touched the two terminals and nothing... They I did it again quickly and it must have opened and closed the valve and now water is flowing, Thanks for your video!

Well the unit stop make ice so this time I replace it with a new unit but after installing the unit and it is showing power but no water to unit the unit. What does this mean?

Hi there had a similar problem with mine but it was not the water valve at fault the contact inside the ice maker just inside the cover that connects to the wiring loom it was the contact inside the plastic block it seems water was getting into the box and rusting the connections I managed to make new ones its now working again..:)

Well the ice maker must have a mine of its own. It started working again. Go figure.

@applianceoutlet How do you replace the fill valve? Where can I get a new fill valve?
-
The unit was making ice and then some ice that didn't fall stuck. I removed the ice but nothing happen. In the past we would take hot water pour it on the tray to loosing the ice and it would start working. This time nothing.
I used a voltage tester which read 110 volt when tested but no water. Now what?
Thanks for your instructions.
Thanks for a great diagnostic video. My Kenmore 106.52532101 in-door ice maker stopped working. The fill tube seems clear. Jumped it out as per your advice and water came out so it must not be frozen. I guess the water valve is good. Any additional tests? What part exactly do I need to replace "bad icemaker." The parts lists have many similar entries. "icemaker assembly, icemaker component, icemaker module, so it's not obvious. Thanks.

4317943 is the part number for the whole ice maker. It would be best just to replace the ice maker as a whole unit. On the sears website it looks like it will cost you $99.99 plus some shipping.

If you jump out the two holes shown in the video that will send the power to the water valve, if water isn't flowing into the icemaker when you do that, then the water valve is bad. Just make sure the fill tube to the icemaker isn't frozen solid where it comes into the back of the freezer to feed the icemaker. Sounds like your fill valve may need replacing.
