Shinzen continues in part two talking about pictures 5 thru. 7. He shares that the last three pictures 8, 9, and 10 tell us the substance, appearance, and ultimate use of enlightenment. Filmed at La Casa Maria Retreat Center, Jan. 9, 2009.
Many thanks for this wonderful introduction to the Ox Herding pictures!
One question: when my ox arrives, will it be my personal ox, or the same ox that (working overtime!) brings all living beings to the home of Enlightenment?
"Nothingness" . . . doesn't need to mean "no thing".
It can instead mean: "no specific one thing as opposed to (or preferred to) any other".
In other words: every thing together. One-ness.
Not complete ABSENCE (except of choice/preference) . . . but compete FULLNESS.
