you guys are going to kill this engine that way. you got alot of fucking air in that engine bleed it completly

@coolakiIlen007 yeah mine stood outside for 8 and half years and fired up with no issues. of course after 4 days the diesel fuel cloged all the filters and what forth then i had to take out the fuel tank clean it then put mineral spirits in the supply and return line and blow it with compressed air that took the shit out.

hi i have some question. my w123 200 always fail of tuning co.
every time i top up full tank of petrol early morning difficult to start up the engine. if the engine start running will come a bit black smoke.let the car warm up 2min then ok and smooth. if the petrol less very easy to start the engine .

Be careful cranking the fuel pump dry or you could ruin it as the diesel fuel aids in lubrication and don"t crank so long or you gonna burn out that starter.next time crack a fuel injector line to help purge some air or prime the pump per manufacturer specs. Nice car btw I love the old 200 series. I own a 220d I'm rebuilding the motor on, great cars nearly bulletproof motors.

@unicronalpha the pump can't be run dry. There is a prime hand pump that has to lift to the main injection pump, because the lift pump by it self can't create suction, as far as the starter I GUARANTEE you the battery will die before this starter smokes out ...
PS: cool a 220 I assume in a w115 chassis

Mercedes-Benz engines may take a long sleep, but they NEVER die.
Not only is the 240D a fantastic workhorse but when coupled with a W123, you have a complete, automotive masterpiece.
Without ANY doubt, this series of Mercedes-Benz were the GREATEST vehicles to EVER hit this planet.
