Airline Passengers Bill of Rights

The politicians have been wheeling and dealing and our Bill of Rights is being dismembered one piece at a time.
No time limit for hostage holding, no guarantees on baggage. About all thats left is food and water and some changes in the statistics they keep.

Kate, you are so right! This is great. Franticflyer did an excellent job of showing exactly what the problem is. I like what Bill O'Reilly was quoted as saying that maybe eventually if airline management does not fix the problem, we as citizens should begin to sue the airlines as a class action. If all else fails... However, I know it is best to write and call our representatives. B

I was held against my will on a US Airways/America West plane in Phoenix for 3 hours in 114 degree heat(AC and fans broke)no food or beverages, flight was eventually cancelled and they were unable to get us within 6 hours of our destination, also could not get us home, major mechanical problems with their planes. No accomodations provided. Wrote letters after we got home. No refund provided yet. Don't fly this airline!

If the government doesn't disallow this callous behavior by the airlines maybe it's because our representatives are hardened due to Abu Graib, etc.
