And by the way, what did the allies free? they freed Christian nations from great leaders and left Eastern Europe to the Soviets to be continually murdered and plundered out. What a liberation.

Band of Brothers was an awesome series with great characters and brilliant acting! It's easy to get attached to all the characters but my all-time faves are Winters and Nixon.
Damian Lewis and Ron Livingston did a great job throughout the series, and they made the friendship between Winters and Nixon totally compelling and believable. Episode 9, 'Why we fight' which focused on Nix was brilliantly done, and my favourite in the show. Course it doesn't hurt that they're both totally fine!
