180 gal hot tub (really thought it held a lot more), circulating with 12v livewell pump adjusted down with PWM to 1/2gal/min. Water temp at bottom of tub is 85f and returning 94f. Outside temp is 85f, clear skys, light breeze (maybe 1 mph) 41% humidity. Trough is 5 1/2' long with a 20 Inch aperture lined with Mylar, aligned east/west on a 26 degree angle (latitude 31).

  • Thanks d3, The only thing i've bought so far was a can of spray paint, 4 electrical connectors, clamp and that's it,$5, every thing else I had on hand already. The PWM I had on the workbench, it was from a HHO project that cost me about $30. Sheet metal was given to me and so was the plywood. When I rebuild and use ss I will keep track of expenses. Plan on tracking too so that will drive the cost up but will be worth it.

  • Nice LF, I am sure you are keeping track of cost savings too.

How much in materials do you have into it?
