Diamond Head - The Prince

First song I am posting up here is Diamond Head's The Prince, off the album Lightning to the Nations. This band is cited as a VERY big influence to Metallica. My reason for picking this track was because I think this one shows a direct influence.

Listen to the intro to this song, and then listen to Metallica's track, Trapped Under Ice. It is almost the same, even the begining of the solo.

Also note that the name of of the album for trapped under ice is "Ride the LIGHTNING."

Truthfully, Metallica's lyrics from the first to the black album has meaning. You guys probably just did not listen properly.

Ride the Lightning had lyrics that meant something, but after that they kind of just went downhill with their lyrics

metallica destroyed alot of things but bands around the same time period still had lyrics that ment somthing like megadeth nuclear assault sacred reich evil dead
