  • Buyer beware! The plus in "MajicJack Plus" is that it is $29.95 a year not $19.95. Okay, no biggie, but like marycpugh, I bought it specifically because they say you can now port your number. Don't bet on it. First of all, good luck getting any info or customer service. It's non-existent. Second, you must port your number to a third party and then transfer it to MJ................. for a fee. Customer service is a forum, hosted by a third party. Third, uh, third, uh.....forgot my 3rd point oops.

  • @SlimSh8E Ok Not cool at all

  • They say you pay nothing for the first 30 days and that's a crock! There's also no customer service number! I'm returning mine and hopefully it doesn't take long to refund the money they claim they don't charge you!!!

  • @sashman1972 ok

  • I ordered the Magic Jack Plus....because want to use MY HOME NUMBER. After I bought it, they tell me my number CAN"T be transferred! I have had this number for 30 years and have moved it from ATT to vonage to Optimumvoice..,.which is VOIP so not sure why MY number can't be transferred. They said to try later..... oops

  • @marycpugh cool

  • how come you cant call 911 or other emergency numbers on magic jack?

  • Got mine at W**-M*** last night. What I like about it is that you don't need a computer running all the time. Just activate it on my computer per the instructions then hook it up to the ethernet per the instructions and that's it. Worked great out of the box no problem. Did not attempt to port my old number as it's still in use as my internet. Works great for a device that is a "throw away" buy another when it goes capoopsy,

  • compare what you pay for Vontage or any other Internet telephone service next to 20 bucks a year for MJ, you can't find anything close considering even if you pay 10 bucks a month for any other service which the other companies are making big profits just to satisfy the absurdity and insecurities like having someone to assist you via a phone that w/MJ you can get the same via live chat, not bots

  • you know if you follow instructions on the MJ page you don't need to talk to anyone for service plus they do offer live help on their site via chat and do what any customer service rep on a phone would do for you, I know, I dealt with these people many times. They also offer current customers deals on usage per year, for my current MJ, I paid like $60.00 for 5 years, Nobody can beat that, n I'm looking to get this @ 1/2 cost as current MJ customer but no transfer of plans to it....n/p!
