The 172 is rather asthmatic at that altitude due to a smaller engine and no turbo, and the glide slope coming in to Lukla is more like a climb angle with power. You also need a DO-228.

You will need a twotter to do that , as the 172 does not have a steep enough descent angle at slow speed to be able to pull this off.

Save yourself the trouble and walk in to Lukla.

yes, they are incredibly skilled as i have been there myself, jim edwards, a famous english man who ownes hotels in nepal said "a good flight in nepal is one that lands" lol, he also said "in nepal, the clouds tend to have rocks in them", by chance, i was staying at one of his hotels, called 'tiger tops' and it was his sons birthday, they were celebrating it at that hotel and i met him. Great guy, great place
