Demi and Emily are eating dinner.
Emily: Mommy, where did Daddy go?
Demi: He went home to his girlfriend.

Demi: No, sweetie, Im not his girlfriend.
Emily: But daddies are supposed to love mommies.
Demi: Daddy did love me, once. But he loves someone else now.
Emily: Oh. *finishes her dinner and puts her knife and fork down* Finished!
Demi: *stands up and clears the table*
[The next day]
*phone rings*
Demi: *answers it* Hello?
Joe: Hey, Demi.
Demi: Oh, hey, Joe.
Joe: I was wondering if you and Emily wanted to come over for lunch today?
Demi: Um, sure.
Joe: Okay, twelve oclock at [Joes address]?
Demi: Great. Bye, Joe.
Joe: Bye, Dems. *hangs up*
Demi: Emily!
Emily: *runs in* Yes, Mommy?
Demi: Were going to eat lunch with Daddy, okay?
Emily: Yeah!
[At Joes house]
Demi: *pulls up to the house [ http://images.travelpod.com/users/pykesonthego/3.1212717480.there-are-so-many... ] in her car* Whoa.
Emily: *mouth drops open* This is Daddys house?!
Demi: I guess so. Come on. *gets Emily out of the car and walks up to the front door and knocks*
Joe: *answers the door* Hey, Demi. *picks Emily up* Hey, Emily.
Emily: *clings onto Joe, looking down at the floor, scared* Youre a lot taller than Mommy...
Joe: Its okay, youre safe with me.
???: Lunch is ready!
Joe: *takes Demis hand and pulls her through the house to the dining room [ http://decorating.vistacasas.com/images/dining-room-chair2.jpg ] Demis this is Camilla.
Camilla: *turns around and shoots Demi a glare when she sees them holding hands and how pretty she is*
Joe: *notices this but ignores it; puts Emily on a chair and pulls Demi out for her to sit on*
Demi: *quietly* Thank you. (Demis really short and really shy, btw. Its the image I have in my head for this story).
Camilla: *sits down by herself* So, Demi, this is Joes little girl?
