I knew Ken Meloy! I worked at the EAL Engine Service Center in Miami in Quality Control and he was allways a great person to deal with. As for the DC-7B flight, it looks like it was a great flight except for that white haired old **uck who seems to be ordering everyone around. He is seen walking up and down the aisle way barking orders, probably contrary to FARs. He must have sunk a lot of his money into this project so he can rule it with an iron fist. Reminds me of Frank Lorenzo!

Go EAL Retirees!!

My husband, Ken Meloy spent 25 years at Eastern, and was practically the last one out the gate when his department had finished building contract engines at the Engine Service Center where he was the "Functional Manager". He's gone now, but I know if he had been invited to take this flight he'd have been there and honored to be......

Quite the contrary. This gentleman is Roger Jarman of the Historical Flight Foundation who actually owns the aircraft and made this flight possible. If you watched the whole clip you would have seen him give everyone information about the restoration of the aircraft and offering everyone a souvenir Emergency Instruction card. On the aircraft he advised someone not to sit in the F/A's seat. At cruise altitude EVERYONE was allowed to move around the aircraft to take picturesand enjoy the view.

Ken would have loved it for sure. They did a beautiful job restoring the engines. They purred like kittens.
