I think you might be overlooking the role that world elites , Americans as well as from other nations, have to play in this "rotten to the core" system that you so eloquently deride. @shreddez I'll tell you. When it comes down to it....no matter how nuch US citizens seem to hate their government....eventually they will all rally around their flag and their President....and they will call it patrionism. It's like 'nationalism' to me.....and this is just the breaking point.

@shreddez There's nothing funny to it. These American authors have experienced the rotten to the core system on a daily basis...and still do. They describe it in their books, in order to prevent it from becoming prolific. Bukowski meanwhile, aimed at drinking his way out of the very misery.

@rockriver126 agreed. One of them. The four godfathers of alternative rock in my opinion are r.e.m., pixies, sonic youth, and soundgarden (who are the first really big grunge band with great releases from 1986 on.) This band is unreal.
