  • How important is the jute or burlap under the foam? I am replacing my foam and the old burlap is falling apart. Do I need to replace it and is there something special to use or will regular burlap work.

  • The burlap under the foam is pretty important, it protects your seat foam. It keeps the foam from tearing through the seat frame and springs causing it to tear and deteriorate faster. I would recommend replacing it, its inexpensive and it will protect your investment. You can buy that stuff at most fabric stores and some arts and crafts stores. They do make different kinds, the stronger the better. Hope this helps.

    Good Luck, Cisco, California Mustang.

  • Nice video. You obviously know what you're doing, so you should post more!

  • I'm hoping to develop and post one of these every other week in 2008.

I also hope to start posting video installs and restoration projects in early 2008.
