If the point of using any kind of light source is to detect solid things moving around in the dark...then why have the lights off at all? If its solid then you'll see it with all the lights on and there is nothing about less light that makes solid objects more visible. That doesn't even make sense. The whole premise of investigating a claim in the dark is a premise that leads to false anomaly and more unknown things,not clarity and positive identification.

Just bought one. Looking forward to using it. I do have a concern about using it with my night vision surveillance system. I guess a test is in order. Thanks for the great tip and the cool vids.
