Twas the night before Chinese Christmas

Hello, this is Sunny. Welcome back! tonight I will tell you about 'The night before Christmas. Call the kiddies to the computer, they will love to know the real truth about the man you call Santa Claus.

Westerners claim Santa Claus as their own, but they leave out most important detail; he was CHINESE!..His real name is Sonta Chink and he lived during the Ming dynasty (1368-1644), about 600 years ago. I will read you this ancient original Chinese Poem. It will prove that Sonta Chink was the real Santa Claus...

It was the night before Christmas and all through the hut
No food could be found, not even a nut!
The chops sticks were set before each person's plate
We were wishing we could say that we just had ate

The children were huddled together and freezing
All they could hear were their ancestors sneezing
And Ma in her cap and I wrapped in my que
We wished we had chicken feet, even a few

The monsoon had passed and the ground was all dry
When I arose to hear this Amazing cry
Sonta Chink is here, with food for the poor!
Bring your bowls, bring them quick for I'm at your door!

I ran to the window and pushed back the bamboo
A man on a rickshaw, I wondered who?
It was pulled by eight giant pandas all black and white
So startled I was, it gave me a fright

The little old driver gave me a wink
So I knew in a flash it must be Sonta Chink!
He carried bundles of food all hot and steaming
The drool from my mouth was already streaming

Children, you must get up! Now is the time for very fast feet!
Songta Chink has brought us all something to eat!
Get your bowls and chop sticks, you must make it quick
See all the food, it is not a trick.

We ate and we laughed til our bellies were full
We watched as the pandas started to pull
The rickshaw containing Songta Chink was flying away
As he rose through the sky, we shouted "Please Stay"

He waved and kow-towed and called back to us
Be well fed and happy until next Christmas
Then he addressed all the pandas by name
He was off to deliver some rice and more grain

Now, Ling, now Ping, now Yuan and Lian
On Wu Xiang, and Meiling on Wong and Chong
Off to the rest of the world, more hunger to fight
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!
