Ron Paul Quotes:

Truth is treason in the empire of lies.

Cliches about supporting the troops are designed to distract from failed policies, policies promoted by powerful special interests that benefit from war, anything to steer the discussion away from the real reasons the war in Iraq will not end anytime soon.

The most important element of a free society, where individual rights are held in the highest esteem, is the rejection of the initiation of violence.

We need to worry about our borders here at home, not worry about the borders around the world, and the border between Syria and Iraq - that doesn't have anything to do with our national security, we have to deal with our own national security. Our military right now is in shambles because we've been stretched too thin. One of these days we're gonna have to wake up, and I'm afraid we won't wake up until we go bankrupt, and we're approaching that time already.

The obligations of our representatives in Washington are to protect our liberty, not coddle the world, precipitating no-win wars, while bringing bankruptcy and economic turmoil to our people.

The theory of the IRS is rather repugnant to me because the assumption is made that I, the government, owns 100% of your income and I permit you to keep 5%, 10% or 20%. You're vulnerable, you've sold out. The government can take 80% if they want, which they did at one time.

Freedom is not defined by safety. Freedom is defined by the ability of citizens to live without government interference. Government cannot create a world without risks, nor would we really wish to live in such a fictional place. Only a totalitarian society would even claim absolute safety as a worthy ideal, because it would require total state control over its citizens lives. Liberty has meaning only if we still believe in it when terrible things happen and a false government security blanket beckons.

War is never economically beneficial except for those in position to profit from war expenditures.

In a truly free market, GM would get your money one way and only one way. By selling you a car that you want at a price you are willing to pay.

I wonder what happened to my colleagues who voted with me as I opposed every war supplemental request under the previous administration. It seems, with very few exceptions, they have changed their position on the war now that the White House has changed hands.

Printing money to pay for federal spending dilutes the value of the dollar, which causes higher prices for goods and services. Inflation may be an indirect tax, but it is very real - the individuals who suffer most from cost of living increases certainly pay a "tax."

Why The Federal Reserve shouldn't exist
First reason is, it's not authorized in the Constitution, it's an illegal institution. The second reason, it's an immoral institution, because we have delivered to a secretive body the privilege of creating money out of thin air; if you or I did it, we'd be called counterfeiters, so why have we legalized counterfeiting? But the economic reasons are overwhelming: the Federal Reserve is the creature that destroys value. This station talks about free market capitalism, and you can't have free market capitalism if you have a secret bank creating money and credit out of thin air. They become the central planners, they decide what interest rates should be, what the supply of money should be...

A system of capitalism presumes sound money, not fiat money manipulated by a central bank. Capitalism cherishes voluntary contracts and interest rates that are determined by savings, not credit creation by a central bank.

Deficits mean future tax increases, pure and simple. Deficit spending should be viewed as a tax on future generations, and politicians who create deficits should be exposed as tax hikers.

The Federal Reserve artificially lowering interest rates, deceiving the people, the investors, the savers, into believing that there's a lot of savings out there, and that we should invest more, build more houses, more cars. It's the malinvestment, which is every bit as dangerous, from the inflation of the money supply, as is the high prices that usually come.

When the federal government spends more each year than it collects in tax revenues, it has three choices: It can raise taxes, print money, or borrow money. While these actions may benefit politicians, all three options are bad for average Americans.

  • I am from India, I see Ron Paul as a Savior and and the only one who has enough balls to tell the truth. I looked into his history and he has been saying this for all these years. He has written the book 'The Case for Gold".

  • @RipTheSystem33

What do you mean by "taking apart the public functions of government"?

  • @nokia3210fuck The United States are already finished, at least the U.S. we have known. It's just a matter of the wealth gap continuing to expand and the U.S. putting so much money behind defense that it will not be able to increase anymore, so they will start to take apart the public functions of government one by one. We are already in that process now.

  • Go rp

  • @solidarity2205 I'm for Ron Paul but he is not the "Savior" don't mistake a man for a God. I'm pretty sure he would agree. RP2012!!

  • Ok here it is plain & clear....

You're retarded if you don't agree with this man's message! Period!

    That is all.

    P.S. - Ron Paul for President 2012!!

  • @MrLAWLsuit to me it seems like we should be calling it a fight against terrorists since those are the people using that method. Terrorism is the method. But maybe were just getting too hung you an a word. Like the war on drugs, they could call it the fight against drugs but I know what they mean. I would rather concentrate on getting laid Saturday night rather than be tripp'n out about why they name things the way they do. If I try to figure out government logic I would have a brain aneurysm.

  • @MrLAWLsuit yea. Iraq wasn't much of a challenge. And we do give WAY too much money to other countries. And when we need aid it doesn't seem like anybody really wants to step up.

  • @MrLAWLsuit once again I mostly agree with you. But you should have another look at some of these middle east countries, like Saudi Arabia. There so rich that they are living in a paradise. The middle east isn't keeping our civil liberties from us because we are fighting. Now the government... Well the government sucks and we need to completely replace it.
