Paramedics attend a bike crash at the 2007 Yaletown Grand Prix. It's a good pre 2010 Winter Olympics benchmark and training session that will help Olympic organizations like VANOC gauge how local medical and emergency response teams manage medical catastrophes.

It will also help suppliers see where there are holes in the system.

Make note of the announcer and DJ spinning tunes in the background ... funny - in a dark comedy kind of way.

  • Looks like a broken hip with spinal immobilize for good measure. I totally think the medical response was more than adequate.

  • 1:22 , his funeral music starts playing. xD

  • what happend to him? :(

  • I hope you don't give up on cycling, and I'm glad to see that you're O.K. Ride long and strong.

  • I am glad he was not permanently injured at least from the accident and poor medical response that followed immediately after the crash happened.

  • I don't know why so many people spout off about something you know nothing about. I was in this race, it was quite a bad crash. Graham (on the gurney) was quite seriously injured and missed a number of months of work as a result, while others got off with road rash.

  • i think he meant he liked this shit. WTF do you think he meant butt head?

  • Usually its road rash and at worst its a broken collar bone from sticking your hand out when you go over.

  • " medical catastrophes."

Yaletown so dramatic! yet fashionable for all corporate sponsors!
