Music by Webster Young. Eric Hyrst danced under Balanchine in the 1950's, later becoming premier danseur and choreographer for Les Grands Ballets Canadiens. (See other videos on this site for history) He created over 150 original ballets in his lifetime (1929-96) This video shows the Venus pas de deux from"The Judgement of Paris", created with composer Webster Young - who wrote music for 10 ballets with Hyrst. A documentary film called "Two for Ballet" is about their work on new ballets -- and the DVD is available at the Documentary Channel online store. Young's ballet music is on a CD at CDbaby.com under "Webster Young". (Copyright)
