  • i bet if this film was made like 20 years earieir and Tex Avery directed it the gag at 1:57 would have led Rimfire to a blackface!

  • And it would have been deleted from TV prints for being politically incorrect.

  • (4:57) That's probably the only time in a Warner/Seven Arts cartoon when a character tiptoes with the proper sound effects

  • Nickelodeon sometimes showed these in the early 1990s. This is probably the only cartoon of its kind with this ghost...his signature Fudd-style greeting "Hewwo-ooo!" is unfowgettable.

  • Ah' yes! Cool Cat! This is an interesting little cartoon. Sometimes, during the usual Saturday morning hour long block of Looney Tunes, they would sneak in a Cool Cat episode or two. It wasn't all that strange to see a Pink Panther toon either. *sigh!* I miss the old days of Saturday morning cartoons. Ghostbusters, Ninja Turtles, Mario, Looney Tunes. It was great waking up, turning on the TV and zonking out for a couple of hours!

Which isn't much different from what I do today!

  • dude he has to have the worst aim he was right up on him and missfired

  • Having heard of "Daffy Duck and Porky Pig Meet the Groovie Goolies," produced by Filmation, I wonder if it resembles these later-1960s W-7 Arts cartoons in any way? These shorts do tend to have a Filmation look and feel to them at times (but without the laugh track)

  • Why are Jac2Mac and springofpiesuck's comments the highest rated comments on here?

  • Spooky: Boy, that was a great race we had, wasn't it?

Cool Cat: Yeah, but it's nothing like the one we're going to have. As soon as I catch my breath.

  • Really nice to see Cool Cat again after all these years. We don't subscribe to Cartoon Network you see.

Colonel Rimfire is a top cartoon cad in the style of one of Terry Thomas' villainous characterisations in movies of the time. Must surely have inspired that voice.

Your posts are much appreciated. Thanks man.
