Visual Pinball is a free program that allows programmers to create and play pseudo 3D renditions of pinball machines on a home computer.

It is unlike any pinball simulation program made previously in terms of realistic graphics and physics. This gives pinball players an opportunity to play with real pinball machines that they might not otherwise ever be able to in real life.
There are hundreds of pinball machines that have been rendered for Visual Pinball.

Modern pinball machines (especially those made after 1992 and using DMD animations) usually require the Visual PinMAME (VPinMAME) program in order to work.

VPinMAME adds to the system requirements, and, like other MAMEs, uses image files of the actual ROMs from the physical pinball machines, and executes them on simulations of the actual embedded CPUs, sound chips, and displays from the physical machines.

Visual Pinball without VPinMAME can also be used to make completely original pinball and pinball-like game simulations (...)

Visual Pinball es un programa gratuito que permite crear y jugar representaciones seudo 3d de maquinas pinball en computadoras.

Es distinto a todos los programas hechos previamente, en términos de realismo grafico y físico.

Da a los jugadores la oportunidad de jugar con maquinas en las que ya no es posible en la vida real, utilizando el sonido y la imagen verdadera.
Hay cientos de mesas disponibles.

Las más modernas, que utilizan pantalla de matriz de puntos (DMD) requieren el Visual PinMame (Vpinmame) para funcionar.

Vpinmame, como los otros Mame, usa las memorias (ROMS) de las maquinas verdaderas para crear emulación de las CPu´s, los chips de sonido y de video.


Visual Pinmame sin Vpinmame también puede ser utilizado para crear Pinballs completamente originales.

I've tried to get this to work on my machine, and I keep getting "Can't create ActiveX Control" errors. Does anyone know why this is happenning? The only Visual Pinball table I've gotten to work is "Eight Ball Deluxe."

In Visual Pinball, try: Preferences menu, Security Options, Always Create Controls.

I have "Always Create Controls" checked. Still getting that error. :-( Actually, the error says "Can't load VPinMame. ActiveX Control can't create object."
