  • I liked it so so much! Bravissima!!!

  • I'm not sure how Poulenc would have responded to such an odd performance of this melodie, but I am certain that Pierre Bernac is spinning in his grave. This is what I refer to as a "willful" interpretation, along the same lines as Anne Sophie-Mutter's highly personal and "flexible" way with a Beethoven sonata. Can you imagine Regine Crespin or Elly Ameling doing this?

  • This is my favorite interpretation of this song that I've found on youtube, even though it does not adhere strictly to the notated song. I wish the singer would re-record it because it needs (IMO) corrected pronunciation, no (or few) camera zooms, steady camera in any case, and high audio recording quality. But I would not want to change the musical liberties that this singer takes. I think the pauses are gorgeous, and match the poetry. Beautiful voice, compelling performance. -- thank you!
