@teppie3000 - by the time she got there, anyone underwater would have been deceased already. The water was not cold enough to delay death in relation to drowning. From the time the bridge hit the water, she was probably 30 minutes out. I've done the go go go things in my life, but it only endangers people, not save people. I've very glad nothing happened to her, that would have been tragic for her to have wasted her life on an effort that couldn't produce any positive results.
@searcher555 you can do all the do gooding and hanging up on red tape you want. she made an on site decision to act straight away her actions did not endanger anyone(besides herself and she was willing to risk that to help others) she may not have had emergency air or any of the ideal tools for the job but the people who potentially could have been trapped definitely had no air nor did they have time for the experts to sit on the bank worrying about the "could happen" scenario
Well.....while everyone is gathering to figure what is going on....people are dying. She did what she was trained and paid to do. Every accident poeple stand around....she didnt!! Im really happy nothing bad happen to her!! She is a Hero!!!
An excellent example of a unsafe recovery diver. If she is the dive team leader, replace her, if she is not, then the leader should be, and she should be suspended.
She is not safety conscious at all. If she got into trouble, with no emergency air, she is dead before anyone can pull her out. Bad example of a recover diver. If she is the team leader, replace her. If she is not, then the team leader should have his ass kicked.
