Pretty heifer. I'm about to buy a miniature jersey. You should get a few chickens.

Jersey milk is the superior milk. (They don't want us to know that).

a standard jersey of high pedigree is very capable of doing over 100 pounds a day do your reseach ,there are jerseys that milk 30,000 pounds in 365 days.

I had a jersey once. She produced 6 gallons a day at her peak. A very sweet, playful animal.

12 gallons a day from an average jersey may be a little much except during its peak

A standard jersey does not produce 12 gallons p/day (approx. 108 lbs), you must be thinking Holstein. The one reason why jersey milk has such a high fat/protein content is because they do NOT produce like a holstein. The more milk a cow produces, the more dilute the fat and protein levels. There are some breeders out there trying to breed jerseys with these high production levels, but they are doing a disservice to the breed, IMO. I have 3 standard jerseys, my big producer averages 7 gal. p/day.
