smiles from the sun!

@johnj623 i wouldnt say that. Remember such bands as Buffalo Springfield, Creedance Clearwater Revival, Big Brother and the Holding Company, Canned Heat, Grateful Dead, Pink Floyd, Jimmi Hendrix, The Beatles, The Beach Boys, and so on.

The Zombies WERE the best group of the 60s. No one can tell me different... The sound, the feel will never be reduplicated.
-
when I listen to contemporary rock and roll it all sounds so derivative...after all , my generation grew up with the real thing, the originators, bands like the Zombies and Kinks and Byrds and Beatles and Stones and Animals....everything today sounds like a copy of what went before....sort of embarrassing to hear

too bad floyd based their entire career on an iron butterfly song called' belda beast"
-
@Darbyjack Pink Floyd? They had a few cool tracks, but overall they loved wallowing in their own pretense (which really was a faux version of what Syd Barrett was doing pre "Dark Side.")
The Best band of the 60s

@johnj623
I wouldn't go as far as saying The Zombies are the best band of the 60s. There were much better bands such as Pink Floyd.

This version is definitely better than the original, which had way too much reverb on Colin's vocals... Have you heard the version with the same vocals as this one, but completely orchestral instrumentation?
