Hi the TMC should go white eventually (once the receiver has been plugged in) to indicate that the device is receiving traffic reports.

So with this 8410, does the TMC just kick in when it is needed and stay red at the top of the screen until it is being used?

Hi The e-compass feature is only on the 24 series. Pedestrian Navigation is on the 84 and 63 series and also the 14 series, but in all cases without the e-compass.

Does it have way E-Kompass? on the page of navigon he says that only 2410 has it
