u can get jazz strings in higher guages, and there easier to find

Buy lap steel strings. Usually quite a bit heavier than regular guitar strings. I use Morrell lapsteel set that runs .016 to .58.

Yeah! What gauge strings to use? Also - what amp and/or effects to get those tones?

hello this was very helpful to me im just starting to learn the 6 string lap steel in c6 but i really need to know what gauge strings to put on.if anybody could let me know that would be fantastic. thanks jessica
