Driving a Mototaxi from Peru to Paraguay. Broken bones, flat tires, driving off cliffs, broken chains, a stolen mototaxi, bribing police this trip had it all.

All this craziness was in aid of raising money for the children of Operation Smile

Hi There

Was thinking about doing the mototaxi junket next year and was wondering what is needed for it really to do well...how good do you have to be at mechanics and how to you get the right permit to take part in the race....just wanting to know how it went. Looks great fun but me and my mate arn't very clued up.

We are also brainstorming ways to fundraising for the charity.. Was wandering if you had any ideas from past experience

@nicholsonpr Our mechanical skills were pretty much non existent and basically boiled down to simple stuff like being able to figure out how to change a inner tube and improvise when other stuff broke. Permit wise you need a visa for Peru and an international driving license (all the info should be on the adventurists website I think).

Regarding raising money, we basically hassled everyone we knew, friends, work colleges, family etc
